Good questions

Do I need to keep the page open?

Yes. The farm only advances while a tab of your account is open; with everything closed the world is frozen and no offline time is credited.

Is it safe to connect my wallet?

Connecting only asks you to sign a free message that proves you own the address. The game never asks for your seed phrase or private key, and a payment always shows up in your own wallet for you to approve.

What can go wrong in the mine?

Thieves rob the miners on duty, gas drains stamina, and storms, tornadoes and avalanches can stun or throw your crew. Resting miners are safe, and most dangers are announced a few seconds ahead.

How does the manager work?

Once hired, he calls back every rested miner so your 15 slots stay full. Switch him off when you want to decide who works.
